Witt Istanbul Suites

From €100 · 08:00 – 23:00

Witt is eighteen design suites tucked into the upper end of Cihangir — the Beyoğlu neighbourhood that has spent the last fifteen years quietly becoming the most pleasant square mile in the city to walk. The hotel’s interior plays to that: spacious rooms, restrained palette, considered furniture, the kind of place that does not need to tell you it is design-led.

The day-use draw is the rooftop. The terrace is laid out as a permaculture garden — herb beds, micro-greens, vermicompost; an unusual programme for a hotel roof — and it is open 8am to 11pm with views over Topkapı, Hagia Sophia, the Golden Horn, and the Bosphorus beyond. There is no pool here, no spa; the day proposition is a long late lunch among the herbs, a coffee on the terrace into the afternoon, and the kind of view that does most of the editing for you. Bookable through the front desk on direct request.

The walk back down to Cihangir’s tea gardens or up to İstiklal is short. We’d suggest arriving at noon, eating slowly, and timing departure for the call to prayer that drifts up from Tophane around six.
