InterContinental Istanbul
From €100 · 09:00 – 18:00
The InterContinental sits at the top of the Gümüşsuyu hill, one block above Taksim and three above the water. The day pass — bookable through DayPass and verified by 130 five-star reviewers as of writing — is for the outdoor pool, and the outdoor pool is the reason to come: a long rectangle in a walled garden of plane trees and white gazebos, with the Bosphorus visible in flashes through the foliage rather than as a continuous stage. That muting is unusual for a Beyoğlu pool, and welcome.
What’s included with the pass is the gym, the changing rooms, the towel and lounger service, and Wi-Fi; lunch is à la carte from the poolside menu. Spa InterContinental is extra and bookable separately if the day calls for a hammam or massage. The garden does its best work in May and September — high summer turns the deck busy by noon and we’d arrive before ten if going then.
Useful for a daycation that needs to stay close to the city: a fifteen-minute walk to the Taksim metro, a coffee away from the trams along İstiklal, and a short cab from the Karaköy galleries.
