Renaissance Istanbul Polat Bosphorus Hotel

From €60 · 09:00 – 19:00

The Renaissance Polat is the most quietly priced of the Beşiktaş-stretch Bosphorus hotels — a glass-and-stone slab on the shore north of Bebek, with a private jetty that makes it feel further from the city than it is. The rooftop is the entire reason to come for the day. A pool that runs the full length of the building, a deck angled west for afternoon sun, and a panorama that takes in the Asian shore from Beylerbeyi up to the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge.

Day passes are reportedly bookable from €60 weekdays and €100 weekends, including both pools (the rooftop outdoor and a smaller indoor lap pool one floor down), the Turkish hammam, and sauna access. Treatment add-ons book separately. Recent visitors describe the rooftop as nearly empty before noon and steadily busier through the afternoon — the locals know when to arrive.

The food on the deck is unambitious — club sandwiches, salads, a passable mezze plate — and that is fine. This is a value play. The pool is the point, the view is the view, and the price gets you the same Bosphorus the Çırağan charges three times for. Bring the people you actually want to spend the afternoon with.
