Sura Hagia Sophia Hotel

From €75 · 09:00 – 21:00

The Sura Hagia Sophia is the larger spa property of the historic peninsula — a five-star with the square footage to do things its smaller neighbours cannot. The wellness floor includes a hammam, sauna, steam room, salt room, and an ice fountain in the same circuit, plus four treatment rooms and an indoor pool that opens onto an internal flower garden the hotel calls Hasbahçe.

The hammam itself is properly sized — the dome wide enough to actually feel the height, the göbek taşı large enough that several people can lie on it without arranging themselves carefully. The salt room is a quiet, rose-tinted space that suits the post-bath cooldown better than most hotel chill-out lounges. The ice fountain is the contrast moment: hot stone, then crushed ice in the palm, then back to the heat. It works.

Day-pass access for non-guests is not advertised on the website but is offered on enquiry — the hotel sells full spa-day packages that include hammam, body treatments, and a meal in the restaurant overlooking Hasbahçe. Pricing is per package rather than per entry, which means the day here is more of an arrangement than a casual drop-in. Worth the booking call if the longer spa programme is what you want.
