10 Karaköy is a neoclassical building reworked into a 71-room hotel by the Turkish architect Sinan Kafadar — a tactful renovation that left the façade alone and put all the new energy on the roof. That roof is BAHANE ON10, a meyhane that opens to non-guests by reservation, and as a daycation venue it is the strongest argument Karaköy has to offer right now.
There isn’t a pool. There isn’t a spa day pass. What there is, is a long table on a sixth-floor terrace, mezze sent out in slow waves, and a panoramic Golden Horn view that runs from the Galata Bridge down to the historic peninsula. The kitchen is Anatolian, the rakı list is generous, and the pace is deliberately unhurried: this is dinner that earns the word evening.
Book BAHANE ON10 directly through the hotel for a window table, ideally an hour before sunset. The walk down the Bankalar Caddesi cobblestones afterward, with the neighborhood lit by tungsten and the Bosphorus humming behind you, is part of the visit — not an afterthought to it.
